Induction - APS Frameworks

Course Outline

In his book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Stephen Covey suggests we need maps to know where we are going, but also how we will get there. APS Frameworks support that purpose. They articulate what is required of APS employees, and they also describe how the APS will undertake its work. The aim of this course is to provide an increased awareness of the types of frameworks within the APS and why they are important to what we do.

This content has been developed in conjunction with the APSC.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course you should be able to:

describe what a framework is in the APS context

explain how frameworks are approved

explain why frameworks are important in the APS

This program aligns with the Working in Government Craft at the Foundation Level.

Working in Government is a willingness to serve and the ability to apply a deep understanding of the context in which the APS operates.
