<h2 id="course-outline">Course Outline</h2> <p>As a member of the Australian Public Service you have already been involved with the Australian Government’s protective security protocols. When you initially applied to join the Public Service, your agency conducted the necessary identity or background checks to assess your suitability to be a member of the APS. This is an example of personnel security which is just one aspect of the Protective Security Policy Framework, which will be explored in more detail throughout this course.</p> <hr /> <h2 id="objectives">Objectives</h2> <p>At the end of this course you should be able to: • Identify elements of Protective Security • Identify elements of Personnel Security • Identify elements of Physical Security • Identify elements of Information Security</p> <hr /> <h5 id="this-program-aligns-with-the-working-in-government-craft-at-the-foundation-level">This program aligns with the Working in Government Craft at the Foundation Level.</h5> <p>Working in Government is a willingness to serve and the ability to apply a deep understanding of the context in which the APS operates.
