<h4 id="section"></h4> <hr /> <p><strong>Suitable for</strong>: EL 2 – SES Band 2</p> <hr /> <h3 id="program-overview">Program overview</h3> <p>The program aims to build APS capabilities for leaders to apply their public sector technical and contextual knowledge and skills to optimally fulfil their responsibilities to clients, citizens, Parliament, Ministers and their agency. It has a mixture of instructional, collaborative, peer-to-peer and ministerial activities.</p> <h3 id="participant-benefits">Participant benefits</h3> <p>As a result of this course, participants will be better able to:</p> <ul> <li>Recognise and harness different perspectives and mental models to solve complex problems.</li> <li>Work collaboratively to influence senior stakeholders under pressure.</li> <li>Exercise political nous and accountable authority to balance the needs of the Minister, Department, and its customers.</li> <li>Leverage the combination of political nous, accountable authority, and professional skills to generate holistic solutions.</li> </ul> <h3 id="inclusions">Inclusions</h3> <ul> <li>One full day and 2 x half day facilitated sessions.</li> </ul> <hr /> <h5 id="this-program-aligns-with-the-working-in-government-craft-at-the-lead-level">This program aligns with the Working in Government craft at the Lead Level.</h5> <p>Working in Government is a willingness to serve and the ability to apply a deep understanding of the context in which the APS operates.
