Delivery of online-facilitated sessions use a virtual classroom tool (e.g. Zoom, Adobe Connect, WebEx or Pexip).</p> <p><strong>Important</strong>: Agencies have access to different virtual classroom tools. Prior to enrolling on a course, it is suggested that you check if you have any restrictions using the tools associated with a course. If you would like to enrol in and complete the course, but cannot access the virtual classroom tool on your work device or network, we recommend you use a personal device such as a laptop or computer with a strong network to support you at home or other offsite location. For more information, please refer to our terms and conditions.</p> <h3 id="course-description">Course Description</h3> <hr /> <h5 id="suitable-for-the-modules-are-designed-for-practitioners-at-the-aps5-el1-level-who-are-new-to-workforce-planning-and-analysis-roles-or-in-roles-where-there-is-a-responsibility-for-workforce-planning-andor-workforce-analysis-in-their-agency">Suitable for: The modules are designed for practitioners at the APS5-EL1 level who are new to workforce planning and analysis roles, or in roles where there is a responsibility for workforce planning and/or workforce analysis in their agency.</h5> <hr /> <h4 id="program-overview">Program overview</h4> <p>The Workforce Planning Start Up Program focuses on building foundational strategic workforce planning capability across the APS. The program is delivered over four dates and focuses on the following topics:</p> <ul> <li>Setting up workforce planning and linking to business deliverables through engagement with the executive</li> <li>Linking workforce planning to business planning in an agile manner, and utilising labour market data to gather insights</li> <li>Storytelling with internal and external workforce data (focus on both quantitative and qualitative data)</li> <li>Implementation of workforce planning to drive business outcomes and deliver benefits</li> </ul> <h4 id="participant-benefits">Participant benefits</h4> <p>As a result of this course, participants will be better able to:</p> <ul> <li>Understand workforce requirements for your agency and establishing a workforce planning function</li> <li>Understand how to conduct and apply workforce segmentation and understand the impacts of external labour market forces for workforce planning</li> <li>Apply workforce data and insights to connect workforce capacity and capability to future business needs</li> <li>Build accountability, develop action plans and implement them in an agile manner, and evaluate the effectiveness of implementation strategies</li> </ul> <h4 id="inclusions">Inclusions</h4> <ul> <li>4 x online virtual learning modules ranging between 3-4 hours each (see 'session details' in the below schedule for specific dates and start/finish times)</li> </ul>
